Checking the classroom computer (sound and voice)

Some modules read aloud. The voice depends on the computer that projects, so it is worth checking it once before your first lesson.

1. On the classroom computer, open “Settings”, then, under “This device”, choose “Check this device”.
2. Run the sound test.
3. If the voice for the language is missing, the screen explains how to install it on Windows or macOS. “Send the steps” forwards the instructions to your school’s IT team.

The setting is remembered in that computer’s browser. Without an installed voice, VocaDial still plays the recorded voice for the word of the day.
