Showing the ritual in Genially, Padlet or Canva

Content and embedding ▶ 2 min 09

Projecting from Genially, Padlet or Canva 2 min 09 · The embed key and its commitment, the Canva card, the pupil space link.

The video loads on click, and not before. If your school blocks YouTube, the article below says everything it shows. Open it on YouTube ↗

With the subscription, the ritual can be shown inside another tool, with no sign-in: exactly what the class would see on the board, with no pupil data.

Embedding is for projecting the ritual in front of your class. It is not meant for making materials to share, either with your pupils or with other teachers. Any abuse may lead to the account being suspended (terms of use and sale, article 10).

  1. In the class, open “Embeds”.
  2. Tap “New key”: say what it is for and, if you like, restrict it to certain sites, then choose “+ Create a key”.
  3. Under “The codes to paste”, choose “Copy the code” on the row for the whole ritual or for a single module (Genially, Padlet). “See the preview ↗” shows what will appear.

In Canva

Canva does not take a code to paste: it needs a link.

  1. On the “Embeds” screen, in the “In Canva” card, choose “Copy the link” (or “Copy the link” on the row of a single module).
  2. In Canva, open your design, then “Apps” in the left-hand panel and search for “Embed”.
  3. Paste the link and confirm: the ritual appears in 16:9 and moves like any other element.

If the subscription ends

Embedding is included in the subscription and in the trial. When the subscription or trial ends, your frames show a message in place of the ritual, and the “Embeds” screen says so. Your keys stay in place: as soon as you subscribe again, everything shows again, with nothing to paste again.

Regenerating or revoking

Tap ⋯ at the end of the key’s row. “↻ Regenerate” creates a new key; the old one keeps working for 7 days while you update your pages. “Revoke” cuts access immediately.

For your pupils

Under “Embeds”, the “For your pupils” tab gives the link to the pupil space. It is open to every teacher and can be shared freely: in your school platform, Classroom, a message or a course page. Each pupil enters with their personal code; hand the codes out in class and do not publish them.

Don’t mix up the embed key with the class code: the class code must never be published.
