Every class has an end date, set when you create it. You can change it in the class settings (“Change the date”), up to 18 months after creation.
Archiving
On its end date, the class archives itself; you can also archive it earlier from its settings. An archived class:
- no longer lets pupils sign in, and its code stops working;
- loses its embed keys;
- is deleted, with its pupil accounts, three months later.
You get an email 30 days before automatic archiving, then 14 days before deletion.
Reactivating
Until it is deleted, “Reactivate”, in “My classes”, reopens the class.
An absence: preparing for a cover teacher
In the class settings, “An absence” › “Prepare for a cover teacher”: choose the dates, and whether your teacher’s-module cards are included. You get a link and an eight-character code to send by WhatsApp or text message, or by copying the message. Your cover teacher projects the class’s ritual of the day without creating an account, only on the dates you set; they see neither your students, nor tracking, nor your settings. “Withdraw the cover” cuts off the link at once.
